Some small objects are made simply to be useful. Others turn an everyday ritual into something worth keeping.

The Bird Family belongs to Le Cabinet des Curiosités by Atelier MHB — a collection of imagined specimens, portraits and objects assembled somewhere between natural history and theatre.

Against a pale blue botanical ground, two black-and-white birds inhabit a miniature garden of green leaves and delicate flowers. A bright lemon, strands of pearls, a tiny golden key and curious gilded cages transform the scene into a fragment of an invented natural-history cabinet.

The original Atelier MHB collage is reproduced on the lid of a small polished metal pill box, creating a jewel-like object designed to travel easily in a handbag or pocket.

Inside, the compact contains three separate compartments for organizing small tablets or other tiny essentials, together with a small interior mirror set into the lid.

Created as a small art object for an everyday ritual, rather than an ordinary pill container.
